Hey everybody!

Just wanted to thank all of you who purchased my Bog Witch tutorial! Everything went better than I had imagined and the response has been great :). I love seeing what people have done after applying the techniques. Also, thanks for all the messages!

I honestly was hesitant about doing a tutorial because I think most people come into who they are by discovering a path on their own through guess work(trying to match styles but finding new approaches in the process) and constant practice. Tried my best not to have it simply stand as a step by step and more as a 'how I found this approach/how you can find yours' kind of tutorial. I hope thats how it was received, but either way, if you keep working for yourself you'll find whatever voice you end up growing into naturally.

Anyways, just wanted to leave this here and thank you all for supporting the tutorial! This means more time for Steve Lichman, StarVeil, Black Witch, and Skull & Shark!

Thanks again,

curious: why have you been favoring messy lines and pastel colors lately? is it supposed to feel like 80s comics drawn with a ballpoint pen that's running out of ink?

again, just curious. it's not something you see every day.

"80s comics drawn with a ballpoint pen that's running out of ink"

That's not the nicest way of asking a question.
Funslinger Featured By Owner May 29, 2014
why? i didn't mean it to be derogative. it's just what it looks like to me. thin, stuttering lines.
Funslinger Featured By Owner May 29, 2014
because of that, it's really the drawing's color that's providing the shape and depth which is, again, very unusual for a line drawing. which really makes you notice how very pastel everything is. hence, my original question.

Dave,  I downloaded and modified your piece of Donatello from a free wallpaper site I found without knowing it belonged to you.  May I continue to have it posted on my wall if I give you credit for the original artwork?
